Women Research Institute (WRI) is a research institute that conducts a number of studies in politics, social and culture using feminist methodology. The working programs undertaken include research programs, publication-campaign, capacity building and promotion as well as implementation of gender equitable budget (gender budgeting). WRI’s mandates are to raise the women’s voice and interests during the course of the Regional Autonomy implementation for the realization of good local administration arrangement that promotes gender equality.

At the moment, WRI is seeking a researcher (a number of researchers) for a research program with the following conditions:

Duties

1. To coordinate the strategic planning process of research
2. To create research designs
3. To conduct field research (interviews, observations and making field notes)
4. To develop reports of research’s result
5. To develop networks of partners in the regions in order to expedite research programs
6. To monitor the implementation of research activities
7. To develop reports of activities

Terms

1. Women
2. Having experience in conducting social research for a minimum of five years
3. Having the ability to analyze various social problems using a feminist perspective
4. Familiar with the issues of regional autonomy, especially the issue of women in the era of regional autonomy
5. Having the attitude and perspective that does not discriminate against sex, Tribe, Religion, Race, Inter-Group (SARA) and age
6. Having the ability to communicate well
7. Understand English
8. Having the ability and willingness to work in teams.
