Research Program

As a research institution, WRI aims to undertake studies through the use of gender analysis and a feminist methodology. This kind of research will produce an analysis that shows how women are accepted by society, as well as how women see their community. Feminist methodology research is expected to be able to produce an in-depth analysis by including the experience and voice of women, where a feminist researcher will consciously choose an attitude and partiality towards women. This research will give the experience of women an equal importance to that of men - one thing that is difficult to do in a positivism paradigm - expected to be able to provide a contribution of more in-depth data as the input to the consideration of public policy-making that is more pro-women.

Research activities are the main program of WRI. This sets out from the thinking about the need to undertake studies on various women's problems in the political, social and cultural arena that until now have been very poorly documented.

In the context of regional autonomy, the research undertaken by WRI always looks at the situation and experience of women in various regions to obtain a comprehensive picture of how women receive benefits from policy that is made at the local level.

OBJECTIVES
