- Qualitative and Survey Research on the Assessment of the Access and Utilization of Health Services by Poor Groups in Five Kabupaten (Indramayu-West Java, Surakarta-Central Java, Jembrana-Bali, Mataram-West Nusa Tenggara, and Kupang-East Nusa Tenggara)
This research is conducted to address the problems concerning access and utilization of health services by poor women and the factors that influence this and how it is related to their educational background and level of welfare (social-economic status). Furthermore, this research will identify various problems that are faced by poor communities when they are attempting to access and utilize health facilities. These matters are closely related to the problems of health facilities and services, as well as familial and other social-cultural problems. The research findings are expected to formulate recommendations for the improvements of health services so that women can have access to and utilize good quality health services.
- A Training Module on Strengthening the Capacity for Women’s and Children’s Health Advocacy
This research is a qualitative research undertaken in Safe Motherhood pilot-areas and areas which have high maternal mortality rate. This research examines the impact of Safe Motherhood programs initiated by the government on women’s reproductive health. It can be concluded that the Safe Motherhood programs conducted by the government so far have not been successful in decreasing maternal and infant mortality rates, in fact, these rates have risen.
- Module on Quantitative Research for Enumerators
This module was compiled to be used as a reference for enumerators when undertaking data collection using survey methods. This module explains the steps that need to be taken in conducting survey research, for example, how to conduct research sampling and collect data using structured interview guides (questioners). In survey research, standardization in data collection is important. Therefore, this module contains materials on survey data collection, including techniques on conducting structured interviews, in addition to basic materials on gender analysis for conducting feminist research.***
