In the regional autonomy era there are many public policies at the local level that among others incorporate traditional and religious values into local regulations. Unfortunately, as a result, these local regulations do not support the interests and needs of women. Through this research WRI will identify various problems that appeared as a result of local regulations that discriminate against women. This research will be conducted in areas that refer to Shariah law when formulating local regulations.
The findings of this research are expected to encourage the formulation of policies that can fulfill the needs and interests of women and serve as a reference for stakeholders and associated parties in the process of policy formulation. ***
